The State Nature Conservation of the Slovak Republic invites you to press conference on Tuesday, April 24 at 10.00 AM on the site of the Ornithological Station Drieňovec. The press conference is on the occasion of the realization of the project “The Amazing Bird World without Borders” from the INTERREG V-A Cooperation Program.
The press conference is being held in connection with the monitoring of the spring migration of birds. It will also include practical demonstrations of work at the Ornithological Station, the work of the lecturer / ringleader vis-à-vis visitor and the way of registering visitors.
The press conference will be attended by: Ján Kilík, Director of Administration of National Park Slovenský kras, Milan Olekšák, zoologist of National park Slovensý kras and Attila Huber, Zoologist from the Aggtelek National Park. After the press conferencion are also available for the media other guests: Daniel Baláž, Director of Project Section of the State Nature Conservation of the SR, Tibor Kočiš, Mayor of Drieňovec, Michal Jenčo and Matej Repel from the Slovak Ornithological Society of Birdlife Slovakia.
During the press conference is ensured consecutive Slovak-Hungarian interpretation.
NP Slovak kras in Slovakia and NP Aggtelek in Hungary is a well-known cross-border karst area. The project „The Amazing Bird World without Borders” highlights its further uniqueness as a protected bird area on both sides of the border.
Access to the site of Ornithological Station Drieňovec:
From the village of Drienovec you can reach the quarry by road. Prior to the quarry, the direction will be marked by field communication directly to the ornithological stationary.
