Kassa (SK) – Tokaj (HU): egy határon átnyúló térség, amelyet érdemes lassabban felfedezniA kerékpár világnapja jó alkalom arra, hogy a kerékpárra ne csak közlekedési eszközként gondoljunk. Két keréken egy térség más arcát ismerhetjük meg: a tájat, a településeket, a helyi történeteket és azokat az értékeket, amelyek mellett autóval könnyen elsietnénk. 
A #Kosice2Tokaj akcióterv éppen ezt a szemléletet erősíti Kassa (SK) és Tokaj (HU) között. A térség különlegessége, hogy egyszerre kapcsolódik benne a borászati hagyomány, a Hernád és a Bodrog vidéke, a Tokaji borvidék (HU), a Szalánci-hegység (SK), a Zempléni-hegység (HU), valamint számos természeti és kulturális érték. 
A kerékpározás ennek a határon átnyúló turisztikai desztinációnak az egyik legtermészetesebb felfedezési módja. Az egyik kapcsolódó projektrész keretében ezért javulnak a kerékpáros turizmus feltételei: új információs táblarendszer és önkiszolgáló szervizpontok segítik majd az útvonalakon haladókat.
A térségen az EuroVelo 11 kerékpárút is áthalad, amely Észak- és Dél-Európát köti össze. Így a Kassa (SK) – Tokaj (HU) régió nemcsak helyi, hanem európai léptékben is izgalmas állomása lehet az aktív és fenntartható turizmusnak.

It allows visitors to experience a region more closely – its landscapes, local stories, cultural heritage and places that often remain hidden along the main routes.
This approach is reflected in the #Kosice2Tokaj action plan, which focuses on developing the cross-border tourism destination between Košice (SK) and Tokaj (HU). The region brings together wine traditions, the Hornád/Hernád River and the Bodrog River, historic sites, the Tokaj Wine Region (HU), the Slanské Hills (SK) and the Zemplén Mountains (HU).
Cycling is one of the most natural ways to explore this area. The area is also crossed by the EuroVelo 11 route, connecting northern and southern Europe. This gives the Košice (SK) – Tokaj (HU) region an important place within a wider European network of active and sustainable tourism.
